Wednesday's WIP

I have been so busy this week and can't wait to spend a full day creating but it hasn't been all work and no play I did have a few minutes here and there.   Having fun rediscovering my colored pencils, pan watercolors, copic markers, and water soluble crayons and from the look of things I need to get some new ones.

Here is what I have been working on lately.

It's similar to what I was working on before but my dd wanted to draw a picture on the other side of what I was working on and the colors bled through.  So I had to start over.  Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Such beauty

I absolutely love historic homes and this is my favorite, it's located in downtown Mesa.  Have no idea what it looks like inside but if it were ever for sale I would be first in line!

I also discovered a new store downtown on Main St. in Mesa it's called Design Lab and it's fabulous so many fabulous goodies.

I took a few photos but you really need to experience it for yourself to really appreciate it.

Work In Progress Wednesday

Been so busy last week and this week that I have found so very little time to create but I did start this on the 14th.....but it's still a WIP.

As you can see I had a bit of a hard day that day still trying to figure out colors on this one but managed to start another.  Will share soon.  Today is my only down day and I need to get some things done.

Kind of describes my day today perhaps all I need is a good night's sleep. Everything is brighter in the morning.  : )

Workspace Wednesday

Welcome to the first "Workspace Wednesday" a new feature I plan on adding every week.  And today I'm sharing my workspace (the kitchen table) where I am currently working in my art journal. I have been playing with different techniques with watercolor for instance pan watercolor vs. pencil and now I need to find my watercolor crayons.  I am having a hard time finding a marker that works on watercolor I can't seem to find one that lasts. 

I practiced on a separate piece of paper and sharpie's don't last long and neither do my copic or microns or pitt markers.  Does anyone have any suggestions? 

We plan on taking a trip midwest this summer and I'm in the process of designing my travel journal.  Has anyone traveled with one and supplies lately?  How should I pack my supplies?

What have you been up to?  I signed up for a couple of online courses and am so excited. I'll have to share my work in progress.  I also worked on my WITL and played in my art journal.


The little Miss and I watched Monster House on Saturday night it was a really cute movie. My DH spent the night with my folks and my daughter got some Mommy and me time. These are always so much fun!!
